Richard Bach said,
"
A soulmate is someone who has locks that fit our keys, and keys to fit our locks. When we feel safe enough to open the locks, our truest selves step out and we can be completely and honestly who we are; we can be loved for who we are and not for who we're pretending to be. Each unveils the best part of the other. No matter what else goes wrong around us, with that one person we're safe in our own paradise. Our soulmate is someone who shares our deepest longings, our sense of direction. When we're two balloons, and together our direction is up, chances are we've found the right person. Our soulmate is the one who makes life come to life."

Well, if that's true, it means she and I are soulmates. Though I guess, we still haven't unlocked our selves completely. Soulmates... is it really possible? I adore her, love everything about her. She has flaws, of course. So do I. But then, who doesn't?

Still, I feel at ease with her. However, there still is a portion of my heart that I haven't opened up to her. She still doesn't know that I keep pining for her, on those sleepless nights. She doesn't know I could do anything to be with her, even for a fleeting moment. She doesn't know that I replay each conversation we have, over and over again. Or does she? I guess there's only one way to find out...

Lonely Refrain

In mild breeze, at the ocean’s feet,

walking towards me with outstretched arms,

I saw her, my lovely lady,

alluring, with her veiled charms.

I walked towards her,

as she dazzled me with her smile,

‘I love you,’ I wished to say,

‘and I’d love for you to stay awhile.’

She sat with me, her hand in mine,

as we talked away from dusk to dawn,

We spoke of joys, of sorrows too,

till the moon’s starry convoy was gone.

Enthralled, enraptured, I listened to her,

savouring each and every word,

But she knew not what I yearned to say,

and it flew past, unseen, unheard.

Oh, how I wish for that moonlit night,

how I wish for those moments again,

when I would express my love,

and the ocean would sing my refrain.
